  • Borrowing
    NTUE faculty, staff and students can use university ID card or library borrower’s card to borrow books from the library.
    Borrowing Privileges:
    Status Total No. of Items Loan Period
    Students of undergraduate programs 20 books 30 days
    Graduate students in master’s programs 40 books 45 days
    Graduate students in doctoral programs 50 books 45 days
    Emeritus professor, full-time faculty 60 books 60 days
    Interlibrary loan cardholder 5 books 21 days

  • Returns
    Borrowers can return the books to the circulation desk on the 2nd floor of the library. Borrowers can also drop their books in the book drop located at the entrance of the library when it is closed. Please note that the date for returning will be counted on the next opening day.
  • Renewal
    Borrowers can renew their books prior to the due date via online renewal, by phone or email to circulation desk. Please note that renewal will not be completed in the following conditions:
    Item(s) in your record is/are overdue;
    Item is on hold (reserved by another user);
    Renewal is up to two times;
    User's borrowing privilege is locked temporarily for unpaid fines;
  • Late Return of Books
    Please return all checked out items on or before the due date. If a book is not returned by the due date, it is considered overdue and is subject to overdue fines. Late return of books will be charged NTD$5 overdue fines for each item per day.
    Users with late returned books or unpaid fines cannot check out, renew or request any book.
